"Addicted to this saga already!...This is actually a standalone but let me warn you - you will be thankful it's a series! This was my intro to the Sasani Family and I’m hooked. Cyrus is definitely my favorite -tragically complex. I cannot wait until the 3rd book to see what happens between him and Alexis. Unlike other books I've read in the genre, I can say that there aren’t any gratuitous characters, which was refreshing. Each character actually brings something intriguing to the plot. The backstories for some of the characters made me appreciate them more and understand their motivations. In all honesty, it reads like a movie. I appreciate how the author just pulls you in from the beginning. Now, I just have to be patient until the next installment drops LOL!"  Bookworm
